![]() The TeamWe're dedicated to constantly trying to improve so that YOU our customer, get the best service and attention and if we'd like your feedback to help us get there. You'll find a feedback section on the left panel of our website headings under information.
Would you like to know if there are any vacancies in our business? Email us your details to admin@westcoastharley.com and we'll get back to you: We'd like to introduce you to our staff - and to assist you, their email addresses are shown also: BIKE SALES
You could say that biking is in her DNA although I'm sure she did not expect to find herself running a busy sales dept in 2010 when she had a Saturday job at Scotbike in Glasgow in the 90's - but here she is, and having now passed her bike test early in 2008 she's loving the job and of course the fun of jumping on a bike whenever she can. Being very customer focused and easy to talk to makes it real easy for our customers to enjoy walking in to West Coast. "We want everyone who comes in the store to experience a professional and friendly environment - we're having fun and we aim to make sure you do to!" She's already made quite an impact amongst us hardened bikers - just goes to show, you can't hold back enthusiasm and hard work. Dyna Wide Glide is the bike that's the hardest to grab off her - she loves it!
A well known face to many of our long term customers, Eric now assists in our bike sales department. He's got one of the best jobs here actually - it's his role to make sure we are giving you the very best advice on what bike to buy. His experience with the brand (owning two Harleys helps a bit too!) will allow you to explore endless possibilities and of course help you get the very best of what Harley and West Coast have to offer.
Damien, like Eric is here to ensure that you get the very best advice when you're looking to change your bike or customise it to suit your riding preference. He'll go that extra mile to make sure it's the right bike for you. He's an experienced biker who's worked within the industry for several years in various roles, so he really is well placed to give you sound advice and guide you through the Harley range. Damien's favourite Harley of the moment is the Sportster 48.
In todays highly competitive market, we recognised that we needed to ensure that our customers were offered the very best advice and best rates in the market. We are of course full compliant with FSA regulations, but as well as being a keen biker, Chris is a very experienced Financial Advisor which ensures that you'll get more than just the standard packages and services. Originating from Salt City (the Spa town of Droitwich to you and me) and having recently moved up to Scotland, Chris enjoys spending time with his family his bike and doing a spot of weight training - handy man to have on our tug-o-war team!
Holly joined us early in 2008 as part of the development of our service department and to assist Robin Scott in organising and co-ordinating our after sales. Holly is not only a lively cheerful person to talk or speak to either at the end of a phone or in person, but is also a safe pair of hands if you're in a pickle and need some help to get things done - good on you too! It'll more than likely be Holly you'll speak to when booking your bike in for a service or for arranging for any repairs to be done.
A welcome addition to our team and a first in Scotland. A Chrome Consultant's job is to assist and help our customers choose the right accessories in what can be a minefield of a range. Fraser has bags of experience in all things Harley and is an active HOG member and Harley owner. Contact Fraser direct or telephone for an appointment and realise your dreams. Having settled in Scotland from South Africa, Fraser is spending most of his spare time riding his Wide Glide and getting to know as many of our superb roads as he can.
There must be some Scottish blood in him somewhere - surely? The fact that Keith has fitted in so well in to the team here means there has to be! In all seriousness we're delighted to have Keith with us. His re-location to Scotland is the Midlands loss and our gain. Great to have such a skilled guy on board and one who seems to like our style, he has completed many Harley factory training courses (100% in the latest one!) and having worked for a reputable dealership in Chesterfield he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. Softail Deluxe is his No:1
Martin spent a great deal of time learning the ropes before taking the plunge and throwing himself into the technical snake pit. To be fair it's only a snake pit if you don't know what you're doing, and having worked with us now since 2006 it's fair to say that he's picked up a fair share of technical know-how. Martin incidently is a very keen biker in his own right and owns some lovely classics as well as some modern stuff. We wish him the best in his new role and he's looking forward to getting all the very latest from Harleys technical training programmes.
A keen biker, Alec has spent 14 years working in a bodyshop as a panel beater where attention to detail is essential - something we know our customers appreciate and expect and Alec is very good at doing. When not working on our sales bikes, Alec is riding them - last year he participated in the Make a Wish charity ride, clocking up 1,000 in 24hrs in a round the country ride helping to raise over £5,000 for the charity in the process - what a guy!
He's back! Yes John has found his way home after a spell away to make sure that we're here when you need our help. You'll probably spot one or both of our vans (you can't miss them with all those Harley and Buell logos) dashing about the country, so give them plenty of space as we'd hate to put all that expensive cargo at risk! John has a collection of Harleys and is a true biker who likes nothing better than a good bike run and a bit of banter with some friends. John's your man in our Van!
Harley may have been making bikes for a long time but over here, the European market is really only a few years old and when West Coast opened in November 1999, Fran was there at the start. She has probably got more experience of the brand and the business than anyone else we can think of and apart from the odd brief spells has been keeping a close eye on things since then. She heads up an ever growing part of our business and with more emphasis on the internet than ever before she is overseeing its continued development.
No stranger to all things Harley (her dad has one!) Nuala is one of our happy crew in Motorclothes and has now moved up to full time trainee manager. She's well informed and as usual always willing to lend a hand for advice or assistance. She loves dancing and has an HND in Sport and Education and is hyper enthusiastic! So if just a little bit of that rubs off on us then maybe we'll all be super fit by the end of the year! Hey - these girls are taking over here - great to have them on board though!
Lauren joined us in the summer of 2009 and has fitted in really well, she regularly commutes to work on her trusty bike in all weathers! Her role is not only to assist Fran and Nuala when required but to work on our online sales orders which we're glad to report are getting busier all the time.
The bedrock of the business is our Admin department and quite frankly we'd be in an awful mess if it weren't for Maureen keeping tabs on us all. She's simply fantastic at putting up with us and producing our management accounts, and although we try hard to make her life easier we know how much is involved in running a busy motorcycle dealership these days. You'll recognise her lovely Irish lilt on the phone - she makes it all sound so peaceful here - but we know different! She's a keep fit fanatic and can run rings round most of us!
So where do we start? - well it's sort of like this, Caroline makes sure that whatever we've messed up gets sorted and tries to stop whatever we're about to mess up - if possible! Well actually we're not always that bad but Caroline is there to make sure we do it correctly and right first time as often as possible. Her role covers a wide variety from admin to systems management and not only that but very often you'll see her helping out whenever we need some 'hands on the pump' upstairs. She and Maureen are always hard at work and never seem to stop - you know we really appreciate you girls!
A hands-on type, you'll find him floating around the dealership most days. He really is very happy to hear of any issues as he is quoted as saying that "we can't fix problems that we don't know about", so your heard it here! |
