Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with West Coast Harley-Davidson. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

GENERAL

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS

Please make sure you have ordered the correct item before completing the purchase.   West Coast Harley-Davidson reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. By placing a credit card order, the customer grants West Coast Harley-Davidson permission to contact their bank to verify name and address.

Shipping and Handling

Shipping and Handling Charges: Shipping and handling charges are based on total weight and size of your order. Oversized or heavy items may have an additional shipping cost. This charge may not be calculated until the order is being prepared.

We will notify you if there is an increase in the shipping charge on your order prior to invoice and shipping.

Shipment by Royal Mail: We ship via Royal Mail and other business post suppliers within the United Kingdom. International orders will have an additional shipping cost applied.

Delivery Time: Allow 4 business days for delivery of non-backordered items within the United Kingdom. Allow additional time for international orders.

Consolidated Shipments: Entire orders will be shipped together if possible, unless specified.
 
Returns and Exchanges

General: All returns must be postmarked no later than 14 days from the original customer shipment date. Returns and exchanges must be in new condition and must include all instructions and original packing material. Customer pays all return shipping charges.

Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Returns must be preauthorised by us and these amounts will be deducted from the original amount invoiced and the remaining balance will be credited to the original credit card or relevant payment method.

Incorrect Item: If you received an incorrect item from the one that you ordered no extra charges will be incurred. We will replace incorrect items and pay the additional shipping charge on receipt of returned goods in new condition and must include all instructions and original packing material.

Incorrect Size: No charge for exchange. We will exchange customer orders that do not fit, if the customer requests the same item in a different size. Customer pays all shipping charges.

Return Shipping Instructions:  Please return goods, where possible, in original packaging and via a traceable method for your protection (we can also assist you in determining which ship method to use).  We are not responsible for packages lost/damaged during return shipping.

Return/Exchange Instructions: Enclose a copy of your returns form, packing list or e-mail invoice along with detailed return/exchange instructions.

Payment Methods

Most major credit/debit cards are accepted.  On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received.   If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order please contact us directly.

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money owed. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Backorders: If an item is backordered, we will notify you via e-mail.  You will be given the option to cancel your order.
Filling backorders: Backorders will be filled before new orders when the backordered items become available.

Product and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in price, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission.  We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. For UK customers all prices on our website are already inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.   For customers outside the UK VAT will be deducted and the total price shown in the currency of your choice - there will be an additional charge for delivery which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.   We reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone for any reason.
 
Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

Damage in transit: If goods arrive damaged it will be your responsibility to inform us within 4 working days from delivery.
Shortages: It is your responsibility to inform us of any shortages within 4 days from delivery.
Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 4 days from the expected delivery date.

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

  • Each promotional offer will be valid for use by a recipient only once.
  • Only one promotional offer will be valid for use per customer and may not be used in conjunction with any other special/promotional offer.

 

Refunds – refundsfor goods purchased under a promotional offer will be based on the terms of the promotional price. Your statutory rights are not affected.

THE ELITE CARD SCHEME

  • The West Coast Harley-Davidson Elite card is issued by and remains the property of West Coast Harley-Davidson which reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a) decline to issue Elite cards; and (b) on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Elite cards or points collected, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Elite Card Scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii) any use or attempted use of an Elite card or points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii) any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
  • All participants in the Elite Card scheme must be aged 18 years or over.
  • The points earned on your Elite reward account are not transferable and can only be used by the account holder.
  • Members may be removed from the scheme at any time at the discretion of West Coast Harley-Davidson.
  • Your Elite card can only be used at West Coast Harley-Davidson or our online website and cannot be used as a credit card or a guarantee card. 

Points

  • Points for in store transactions will be manually added to your account on request. Points for online transactions will be added automatically and can be viewed by accessing your Elite account.
  • Promotional/Special Offers - Elite points will not be awarded for these types of transactions however you may use your existing Elite points to purchase any sale/special offer item.
  • If an Elite card account is inactive for a period of 12 months all points accrued will be rendered null and void. A notification email informing customers of this pending lapse will be sent out in advance of cancellation.

OTHER INFORMATION

When riding your Harley-Davidson or Buell motorcycle be sure to ride safely, respectfully and within the limits of the law and your abilities. Always wear a helmet, proper eyewear and protective clothing and insist your passenger does too. Never ride while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Know your bike and read and understand your owner’s manual from cover to cover.
